This device adopts ultrasonic measurement principles and is suitable for measuring the thickness of various materials that allow ultrasonic waves to propagate at a constant speed and reflect from the back surface.

It can be used to measure various plates and processed parts. Another important application is monitoring the thinning of pipelines and pressure vessels in production equipment due to corrosion over time. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, and aerospace.

Basic Principle:

The principle of ultrasonic thickness measurement is similar to that of optical wave measurement. The probe emits ultrasonic pulses that travel through the measured object. When the waves reach the material’s boundary surface, they are reflected back to the probe. By measuring the time taken for ultrasonic waves to propagate through the material, the thickness of the material can be determined.
