The Odyssey Laser System is primarily used in urology and nephrology. Its 2100-nanometer infrared wavelength output enables the fragmentation of stones and tissue ablation with minimal lateral tissue damage. Urologists can choose from a variety of fiber sizes to perform procedures throughout the urinary tract. Larger core diameter fibers can be used with rigid endoscopes to access the ureter and bladder, while smaller core diameter fibers can be used with flexible ureteroscopes to reach the lower pole of the kidney.
